The basis for the composition is the platter on which the vase is attached. The front of the vase is decorated with a stylized butterfly-maiden. The center of the vase is reinforced with an enamel belt with two holders. On the first holder hangs a frameless mirror; the enameled back is engraved with the words «Am I the Most Beautiful in the Land?». On the second holder one finds a clock ( Hebdomas, Switzerland). The back is enameled with a pastoral subject. The clock is mechanical with 8-day running gears. Both the clock and the mirror can be easily detached from their holders.
The pedestal is covered with mother-of-pearl, decorated with turquoise and enamel ornaments. Also contained in the pedestal:
- a pen (Laban, France): cover 925 silver, holder mother-of-pearl. Through a ball mechanism the pen can be used at any angle,
- a holder for visiting cards, notes etc. The front side of the holder is an enamel berry-branch and a spider in a spider web.
