This vase is a rare combination of bronze, crystal and enamel. It is shaped as a boat. Bow of the boat is decorated with a fighting dragon. This dragon has a shield as an enamel medallion with picture of bright son to make enemy blind and burn it’s ships. Surface of the dragon is etched to looks like snake skin. Stern of the boat is decorated with enamel ornaments in ancient Slavic style. All surfaces of the boat stern and the oar in warrior hands are etched to look like wood. The warrior has outfit typical for Russian warriors in XØ-ÕIY centuries. |
